The Dallas Mavericks (also known as the Mavs) are a professional basketball team based in Dallas, Texas, USA. They are members of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Founded in 1980, the Mavericks have won three division titles (1987, 2007, 2010) and one conference championship (2006). They rallied back from a 3–2 disadvantage in the series and erased a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter of the seventh game to defeat the Celtics. This series win gave them their 16th NBA title overall and 11th since they move to Los Angeles. Bryant was named Finals MVP for the second year in a row, despite a 6–24 shooting performance in game seven.

The NBA on TNT is Turner Network Television’s coverage of the National Basketball Association, produced by Turner Sports. TNT’s basketball broadcasts, which include a weekly doubleheader known as TNT NBA Thursday, the Inside the NBA studio show, as well as playoff coverage, are perhaps that channel’s signature programs. The Pittsburgh Penguins are a professional ice hockey team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The franchise was founded in 1967 as one of the first expansion teams during the league’s original expansion from six to twelve teams. On May 4, 2010, the Bulls officially fired head coach Vinny Del Negro.

The Indiana Pacers play their home games at Conseco Fieldhouse, where they have resided since 1999. Conseco Fieldhouse is located in downtown Indianapolis and seats 18,165 for basketball games, and hosts many concerts as well as Pacer and Fever games. Conseco is owned by the Capital Improvement Board, City of Indianapolis, Indiana and was built in 1997 by Ellerbe Becket Architects & Engineers. Conseco Fieldhouse also hosts the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament and will be hosting the 2011 NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four. At the time of their creation, the Sabres exercised their option to create their own AHL farm team, the Cincinnati Swords.

The Philadelphia Flyers are a professional ice hockey team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL) and are the current Eastern Conference Champions. Part of the 1967 NHL Expansion, the Flyers were the first non-Original Six team to win the Stanley Cup, victorious in 1973–74 and again in 1974–75.

The Flyers’ all-time points percentage of .578 (as of the end of the 2010–11 season) is the second best in the NHL, behind only the Montreal Canadiens’ .590 points percentage. The reason for the delay, according to Rubin in an official android blog post, was because Honeycomb was rushed for production of the Motorola Xoom and that when Honeycomb is suitable for developer use is when it will be released.

During the 2010 NBA Draft, the Spurs managed held the highest draft pick since the Tim Duncan draft a decade earlier. They drafted rookie James Anderson from Oklahoma State at #20.[32] However, Anderson was soon sitting out of the first half of the season due to injuries. The Big Three however maintained a good healthy status for the ’10 part of the season, and went on to obtain the league’s best starting record of 25-4 by Christmas Eve. Also fueling the Spurs’ re-emergence was a thoroughly revamped Richard Jefferson, whom over the summer was personally coached by Popovich to find his touch in the game. English bigman Ryan Richards was another draftee of the Spurs, this one at #49, however two shoulder surgeries soon left him out of any immediate possibilities. A truly significant development however was the success of R.C. Buford in bringing the Brazilian 7-footer Tiago Splitter to San Antonio from Spain. Still, Splitter missed the preseason, and was injured during the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Yet Popovich was able to ease him lightly into the roster as the season gradually progressed. Popovich proved successful in breathing younger life into the Spurs by these modifications, and the addition of Chris Quinn and Gary Neal, who especially proved to be a valuable asset for the early surge in the season.

Like its predecessor NBC, Fox determined its Saturday schedule by who was playing a team from one of the three largest television markets: New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago. If there was a game which combined two of these three markets, it would be aired.

The Minnesota Twins are an American professional baseball team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They play in the Central Division of Major League Baseball’s American League. The team is named after the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis and St. Paul. They played in Metropolitan Stadium from 1961 to 1981 and the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome from 1982 to 2009. The team was founded in Kansas City in 1894 as a Western League team and would move to Washington, D.C., in 1901 as one of the eight original teams of the American League, named the Washington Senators or Washington Nationals. Although the Washington team endured long bouts of mediocrity (immortalized in the Broadway musical Damn Yankees), they had a period of prolonged success in the 1920s and 1930s, led by Hall-of-Famers Bucky Harris, Goose Goslin, Sam Rice, Joe Cronin, and above all Walter Johnson. Manager Clark Griffith joined the team in 1912 and became the team’s owner in 1920. The franchise remained under Griffith family ownership until 1984.

In 1960, Major League Baseball granted the city of Minneapolis an expansion team. Washington owner Calvin Griffith, Clark’s nephew and adopted son, requested that he be allowed to move his team to Minneapolis and instead give Washington the expansion team. Upon league approval, the team moved to Minnesota after the 1960 season, setting up shop in Metropolitan Stadium, while Washington fielded a brand new “Washington Senators” (which later became the Texas Rangers prior to the 1972 season).

Success came quickly to the team in Minnesota. Sluggers Harmon Killebrew and Bob Allison, who had already been stars in Washington, were joined by Tony Oliva and Zoilo Versalles, and later second baseman Rod Carew and pitchers Jim Kaat and Jim Perry, winning the American League pennant in 1965. A second wave of success came in the late 1980s and early 1990s, led by Kent Hrbek, Bert Blyleven, Frank Viola, and Kirby Puckett, winning the franchise’s second and third World Series (and first in Minnesota).

Through the 2010 season, the franchise has won three World Series championships (1924, 1987, and 1991), and has fielded 18 American League batting champions.

The Tampa Bay Rays are a Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Rays are a member of the Eastern Division of MLB’s American League. Since their inception in 1998, the club has played at Tropicana Field and has finished out of last place only four times. Their first season with a winning record was 2008, when they won their first division title and proceeded to win the pennant.

In November 2007, majority owner Stuart Sternberg made significant changes to his franchise’s image, changing the club’s name from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to the “Tampa Bay Rays”, which he described as “a beacon that radiates throughout Tampa Bay and across the entire state of Florida.” The teams’ primary colors, formerly black, green, and blue, were changed to navy blue, Columbia blue, and gold, and the team’s symbol was changed from a manta ray to a ray of sunlight. The manta ray symbol, however, is still used on the sleeve of their jerseys, and there is still a tank of cownose rays in the outfield.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is a 2010 model in the BlackBerry line of smartphones, and also the most recent; as of March 2011. It combines a physical QWERTY keyboard with a sliding multi-touch screen display and runs on the latest BlackBerry OS 6. Introduced on August 3, 2010, the phone became available exclusively on AT&T on August 12, 2010.
