Live F1 Streaming on iPhone: Watch 2011 Malaysia (Malaysian) Grand Prix on iPhone 3GS
Mobile Phone TV: Live F1 Streaming on iPhone: Watch 2011 Malaysia (Malaysian) Grand Prix on iPhone 3GS
The 2011 Malaysia Grand Prix is a Formula One motor race scheduled to be held on 10 April 2011 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. It will be the second race of the 2011 Formula One season.
After failing to qualify in Melbourne when they were forced to use the front wing from their 2010 car, Hispania Racing arrived at the circuit confident of being able to qualify for the race because their 2011 specification front wing satisfactorily completed its mandatory crash tests.
The nine World Championship Malaysian Grands Prix have seen a good deal of action on and off the track, whilst the weather—furnace heat one minute, tropical storm the next—adds extra spice. The most notable Grand Prix at Sepang to date was the inaugural event in 1999. It saw Michael Schumacher return to the sport after his absence due to a broken leg sustained at that year’s British Grand Prix, dominating the race and handing the victory to title-hopeful team-mate Eddie Irvine, only for both Ferraris to be disqualified due to a technical irregularity, handing the title—until the steward’s decision was over-ruled—to Mika Häkkinen.
The 2001 event was hit by a heavy rainstorm in the middle of the race which made conditions very difficult. Conditions were so bad that the two Ferraris of Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello spun off almost simultaneously at the same corner. Remarkably, they both recovered to score a Ferrari “1-2″, because for a long time they were nearly 5 seconds faster than anyone else on the field. Elsewhere, the race was even led by Jos Verstappen, surprisingly. However, as the track begun to dry, he fell back to 7th, but his efforts to keep positions were memorable.
Since 2001, the Malaysian Grand Prix has moved from the end of the schedule to the beginning, which has seen some topsy-turvy results as teams and drivers get to grips with their new equipment, with many races heavily influenced by the winners and losers of the scramble for position into the tight double hairpin bend at the first corner.
On 8 April 2007, shortly before the 2007 Malaysian Grand Prix, Formula One president Bernie Ecclestone was quoted as stating that the circuit was getting “shabby” and “a bit tired” from the lack of care, describing it as “an old house that needs a bit of redecorating”. He noted that the circuit itself is not the issue, but rather the surrounding environ; rubbish is said to be littered all over the place, potentially damaging the circuit’s good reputation when it was opened in 1999.
The day before, Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had met Ecclestone to discuss an extension of the Formula One contract beyond 2010. While the government had been given an additional extension to host the Grand Prix until 2015, the government was still mulling the offer, as of 23 April 2007. The circuit was given a renewed contract in 2006 to organise the Malaysian Grand Prix for another five years.
Development of the iPhone began in 2005 with Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ direction that Apple engineers investigate touchscreens.[4] He also steered the original focus away from a tablet, like the iPad, and towards a phone.[5] Apple created the device during a secretive collaboration with AT&T Mobility—Cingular Wireless at the time—at an estimated development cost of US$150 million over thirty months.[6] Apple rejected the “design by committee” approach that had yielded the Motorola ROKR E1, a largely unsuccessful[citation needed] collaboration with Motorola. Instead, Cingular gave Apple the liberty to develop the iPhone’s hardware and software in-house[7][8] in exchange for exclusive U.S. sales until 2011.
Jobs unveiled the iPhone to the public on January 9, 2007 at Macworld 2007. Apple was required to file for operating permits with the FCC, but since such filings are made available to the public, the announcement came months before the iPhone had received approval. The iPhone went on sale in the United States on June 29, 2007, at 6:00 pm local time, while hundreds of customers lined up outside the stores nationwide.[9] The original iPhone was made available in the UK, France, and Germany in November 2007, and Ireland and Austria in the spring of 2008.
On July 11, 2008, Apple released the iPhone 3G in twenty-two countries, including the original six.[10] Apple released the iPhone 3G in upwards of eighty countries and territories.[11] Apple announced the iPhone 3GS on June 8, 2009, along with plans to release it later in June, July, and August, starting with the U.S., Canada and major European countries on June 19. Many would-be users objected to the iPhone’s cost,[12] and 40% of users have household incomes over US$100,000.[13] In an attempt to gain a wider market, Apple retained the 8 GB iPhone 3G at a lower price point. When Apple introduced the iPhone 4, the 3GS became the less expensive model. Apple reduced the price several times since the iPhone’s release in 2007, at which time an 8 GB iPhone sold for $599. An iPhone 3GS with the same capacity now costs $49. However, these numbers are misleading, since all iPhone units sold through AT&T require a two-year contract (costing several hundred dollars), and a SIM lock.

The 2011 Australian Grand Prix (formally the 2011 Qantas Australian Grand Prix) is a Formula One motor race scheduled to be held on March 27, 2011 at the Albert Park Circuit. It will be the 76th race in the combined history of the Australian Grand Prix that dates back to the 100 Miles Road Race of 1928. Originally planned as the second race of the 2011 Formula One season, it became the season opener with the cancellation of the Bahrain Grand Prix due to civil unrest in the country.
The Australian Grand Prix is a motor race held annually and is held to be the pinnacle of motor racing in Australia. The Grand Prix is the oldest surviving motor racing competition held in Australia having been held 75 times since it was first run at Phillip Island in 1928. Since 1985 the race has been a round of the FIA Formula One World Championship. It is presently held at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit at Albert Park in Melbourne. Prior to its inclusion in the World Championship it was held at a multitude of venues in every state of Australia. It was a centrepiece of the Tasman Series between 1964 and 1972 and was a round of the Australian Drivers’ Championship on many occasions between 1957 and 1983. It became part of the Formula One World Championship in 1985 and was held at the Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide, South Australia from that year to 1995, before moving to Melbourne in 1996.
The Australian Grand Prix is the second round of the Championship, having been the first race of each year, excluding 2006 and 2010, since the event moved to Melbourne. During its years in Adelaide, the Australian Grand Prix was the final round of the Championship, replacing the Portuguese Grand Prix in that respect. As the final round of the season, the Grand Prix hosted a handful of memorable Grand Prix, most notably the 1986 and 1994 events which saw those respective titles decided.
Australian driver Lex Davison and German driver Michael Schumacher are the most successful drivers in the 83 year history of the event taking four wins each; while McLaren have been the most successful constructors with eleven victories, their success stretching well back into the pre-Formula One history of the race. Rubens Barrichello is the only driver to have started every single race since it returned to the inner Melbourne street circuit, which had been used previously for the Grand Prix twice in the 1950s.
For the 2010 event Australian airline Qantas returns to the role of naming rights sponsor of the event, having last sponsored the race in 2001. The most recent Australian Grand Prix was won by British driver Jenson Button, successfully defending his previous 2009 victory in the race.

The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup is the tenth Cricket World Cup and is being played in Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka. It is Bangladesh’s first time co-hosting a World Cup. All matches in the World Cup will be accorded One Day International status, with all matches being played over 50 overs. Fourteen national cricket teams will compete in the tournament, including ten full members and four associate members. The World Cup will take place between February and early April 2011, with the first match played on 19 February 2011 with co-hosts India and Bangladesh facing off at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The opening ceremony was held on 17 February 2011 at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka, two days before the start of the tournament, with the final on 2 April 2011 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
The World Cup was also supposed to be co-hosted by Pakistan, but in the wake of the 2009 attack on the Sri Lanka national cricket team in Lahore, the International Cricket Council (ICC) decided to strip Pakistan of its hosting rights. The headquarters of the organising committee were originally situated in Lahore, but have now been shifted to Mumbai. Pakistan was supposed to hold 14 matches, including one semi-final. Eight of Pakistan’s matches (including the semi-final) were awarded to India, four to Sri Lanka and two to Bangladesh.
The biggest upset of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 has been the defeat of England by Ireland. Ireland’s Kevin O’Brien made 100 in just 50 balls (and a total of 113 off 63 balls), the fastest World Cup Century and Ireland made the highest successful run chase in World Cup history beating Sri Lanka’s 313 against Zimbabwe at New Plymouth in New Zealand in 1992.

2011 Formula One Season Introduction: Australian Grand Prix
Mobile Phone TV: 2011 Formula One Season Introduction: Australian Grand Prix
The 2011 Formula One season will be the 62nd FIA Formula One season. The original calendar consisted of twenty rounds, including the inaugural running of the Indian Grand Prix. Pirelli returns to the sport as tyre supplier for all teams, taking over from Bridgestone. Red Bull Racing are the reigning Constructor’s Champions. Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel will be the defending Driver’s Champion.
The 2011 Australian Grand Prix (formally the 2011 Qantas Australian Grand Prix) is a Formula One motor race scheduled to be held on March 27, 2011 at the Albert Park Circuit. Originally planned as the second race of the 2011 Formula One season, it became the season opener with the cancellation of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix due to civil unrest in Bahrain.
The pre-season testing season began immediately after the 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with a three-day ‘Young Driver Test’ (for drivers with fewer than three Formula One race starts to their name) at the Yas Marina Circuit. Formula Renault 3.5 runner-up Daniel Ricciardo consistently set the fastest times over the three days, driving for new champions Red Bull Racing.
The Young Driver Tests were followed by another testing session – also held at Yas Marina – for the teams to test the tyres developed by new tyre supplier Pirelli. Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso was the fastest during the tests, with many drivers declaring their satisfaction with the new tyres, particularly given Pirelli’s short development window. Sebastian Vettel experienced an explosive puncture on the final day, though an investigation by Pirelli attributed the incident to debris on the circuit rather than a critical error with the build of the tyre.
The final test of the season was originally scheduled to be held in Bahrain, but was cancelled by the Bahraini Crown Prince due to political uprising in the island nation. It was instead rescheduled to the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona from 8–12 March.

Futbol Club Barcelona (Catalan pronunciation: [fu?b??? ?klup b??s??lon?], Spanish: [?fuð?ol klu? ?ar?e?lona]), (often known simply as Barcelona and familiarly as Barça (Catalan: [?ba?s?], Spanish: [?barsa])), is a Spanish professional football club, based in Barcelona, Spain. They play in La Liga, and is one of the only three clubs to have never been relegated.
Founded as Foot-Ball Club Barcelona in 1899 by a group of Swiss, English, and Spanish footballers led by Joan Gamper, the club has become a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism, hence the motto “Més que un club” (English: More than a club). The official Barça anthem is the “Cant del Barça” written by Jaume Picas and Josep Maria Espinàs. Unlike many other football clubs, the supporters own and operate Barcelona. It is the world’s second richest football club in terms of revenue, with an annual turn-over of €398 million. The club holds a long-standing rivalry with Real Madrid, and matches between the two teams are referred to as “El Clásico”.
FC Barcelona is the most successful club in Spanish football in terms of overall trophies, having won twenty La Liga titles, a record twenty-five Spanish Cups, nine Spanish Super Cups, and two League Cups. It is also one of most successful clubs in European football, having won ten UEFA competitions. It is the only European club to have played continental football every season since 1955. In 2009, Barcelona became the first club in Spain to win the treble consisting of La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Champions League. That same year, it also became the first football club ever to win six out of six competitions in a single year, thus completing the sextuple, comprising the aforementioned treble and the Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
The iPad (pronounced /?a?pæd/, EYE-pad) is a line of tablet computers designed, developed and marketed by Apple primarily as a platform for audio-visual media including books, periodicals, movies, music, games, and web content. Its size and weight falls between those of contemporary smartphones and laptop computers. The iPad runs the same operating system as the iPod Touch and iPhone—and can run its own applications as well as iPhone applications. Without modification, and with the exception of web applications, it will only run programs approved by Apple and distributed via its online store.
Like iPhone and iPod Touch, the iPad is controlled by a multitouch display—a departure from most previous tablet computers, which used a pressure-triggered stylus—as well as a virtual onscreen keyboard in lieu of a physical keyboard. The iPad uses a Wi-Fi data connection to browse the Internet, load and stream media, and install software. Some models also have a 3G wireless data connection which can connect to HSPA data networks. The device is managed and synced by iTunes on a personal computer via USB cable.
Apple released the first iPad in April 2010, and sold 3 million of the devices in 80 days. During 2010, Apple sold 14.8 million iPads worldwide, representing 75 percent of tablet PC sales at the end of 2010. During the release of the iPad 2 in March 2011, Steve Jobs said that just under 15 million iPads had been sold in the device’s first nine months on the market — more than all other tablet PCs combined.

Major League Baseball on Fox: Watching Live MLB Streaming on Mobile Cell Phone
Mobile Phone TV: Major League Baseball on Fox: Watching Live MLB Streaming on Mobile Cell Phone
Major League Baseball on Fox or MLB on Fox is the Fox Broadcasting Company’s presentation of Major League Baseball games, produced by Fox Sports. Major League Baseball on Fox began on June 1, 1996 and will continue at least through the 2013 World Series.
Fox Sports is a division of the Fox Broadcasting Company (part of News Corporation). It was formed in 1994 with Fox’s acquisition of broadcast rights to National Football League games. In subsequent years, it has televised the National Hockey League (1994–1999), Major League Baseball (1996–present), NASCAR (2001–present), and the Bowl Championship Series (2007–2010). ?
Another team will join the growing cable-exclusive telecast teams in 2011 as Fox Sports Midwest will produce and televise all St. Louis Cardinals games on the cable station, along with selected areas of the Cardinals’ DMA outside St. Louis including Fox Sports Tennessee in Tennessee, Fox Sports Indiana in parts of Indiana, SportsSouth in Arkansas and Fox Sports Oklahoma in parts of the Sooner State. The defection from KSDK and their over-the-air affiliates will make them the 14th out of 30 MLB teams to televise their games exclusively on cable TV.
The national telecast breakdown is as follows, along with the maximum number of appearances per team:
* FOX: Saturday afternoon Game of the Week on a regional basis; up to nine appearances per team. In addition, the network will broadcast the All-Star Game, ALCS, and World Series. Fox Deportes holds Spanish broadcast rights to the World Series. Most Saturday games are scheduled to start at 4 PM US EDT/1 pm PDT, except for games on April 9, April 30 and May 7, when those telecasts will start an hour earlier due to NASCAR coverage and on May 21 and May 28, the latter because of the UEFA Champions League final as those games are tenatively scheduled to start at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT.
* ESPN/ESPN2: Sunday Night Baseball on a weekly basis; five appearances per team. A new broadcast team will be in the booth as Dan Shulman and Orel Hersheiser will join Bobby Valentine, replacing Jon Miller and Joe Morgan. In addition, there are games on Monday and Wednesday nights (with the Monday games moving to either Wednesday nights to form a doubleheader or Friday nights when the 2011 NFL season begins), Opening Day games on both March 31 and April 1, and the Home Run Derby on July 11. ESPN Deportes holds Spanish rights to the Sunday night package.
* TBS: Sunday afternoon games starting on April 3; 13 appearances per team. In addition, the network will carry the announcement of the All-Star Teams in the National and American Leagues on July 3 as well as the Division Series and the NLCS as per the alternating contract with FOX. Blackout rules will again apply here as Headline News will be broadcast in the teams’ markets during the regular season.
* MLB Network: The network will again air a weekly Thursday Night Game of the Week and Saturday Night Game of the Week, and selected afternoon games. Thursday Night games are mostly produced in-house, while Saturday Night games and midweek day games (save for the Civil Rights Game) usually come off the home team’s video production. Blackouts will once again apply here, as viewers in the competing team’s markets will telecast an alternate game off the home team feed of selected teams. In addition, holiday games on Memorial Day (May 30), day games on July 4, Labor Day (September 5) and in addition, commencing in August, expanded coverage of the pennant races will be taking place with additional games being broadcast on Tuesday and Friday nights and Monday nights starting in September.
In Canada, Toronto Blue Jays games will be televised on Rogers Sportsnet. RSN also holds the Canadian rights to air the Fox and ESPN/ESPN2 games if they do not conflict with Blue Jays games, and additional regular season games on a regional basis on Rogers Sportsnet One as well as the All-Star Game and the entire postseason. TSN2 holds rights to the ESPN Sunday Night Baseball telecasts.
In Australia, it is free to air channel One HD and shows up to five games live per week, and European channel ESPN America broadcasts games as well.

Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada. Specifically, Major League Baseball refers to the organization that operates the National League and the American League by a joint organizational structure that has developed gradually between them since 1901 (the National League having been in existence since 1876). In 2000, the two leagues ceased to be separate legal entities, with the commissioner’s office assuming all responsibilities for running MLB. MLB effectively operates as a single league and as such it constitutes one of the major professional sports leagues of the United States and Canada. It is currently composed of 30 teams — twenty-nine in the United States and one in Canada. In conjunction with the International Baseball Federation, MLB also manages the World Baseball Classic.
On July 11, 2006, rumors of the demise of Major League Baseball on Fox were put to rest when it was announced that the network had signed a new seven-year contract, which will guarantee that the World Series will appear on Fox through the 2013 season. Fox had widely been expected to renew the deal, but it was unclear what they would be willing to air beyond the All-Star Game and World Series.
The package was officially announced on October 17, 2006. Under the terms of the arrangement, Fox retains its rights to its regular-season package, which now begins in April, and remains the exclusive home of the All-Star Game and World Series. Fox’s postseason coverage beyond the World Series is limited to one League Championship Series per year (the American League Championship Series in odd numbered years and National League Championship Series in even numbered years), which alternates every year with TBS (who took over exclusive rights to the Division Series from ESPN) airing the other LCS.
Fox airs a Game of the Week every Saturday of the season. Currently, coverage begins at 4 p.m. Eastern time each week, except during the three NASCAR on Fox Saturday night races (games start at 3 p.m. ET), and the day of the UEFA Champions League soccer finals (7 p.m. ET). An additional prime time game instead of an afternoon aired on June 26, again with coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET.[1]) Each week Chris Rose sets the pregame storylines from one of the game sites, followed by game coverage at approximately ten minutes past the hour.
This short show replaces a full-scale pregame show that aired at 3:30 p.m. ET from 2007 to 2008, in which host Jeanne Zelasko was joined by a rotating group of studio analysts. This was followed by regional telecasts of up to three games, starting at about 3:55 p.m. ET. Previously, the games had staggered start times of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET.
Also, games have been aired in high definition since 2007. In 2007, only the primary game was aired in HD, but since 2008, all games have been aired in HD.
Fox has certain rights for afternoon Major League Baseball games on Saturdays, and ESPN has the same rights for night games on Sundays. Broadcasters cannot show games of in-market teams regardless of whether the game is home or away as long as the game of the local team has a start time or likely end time intruding on Fox or ESPN’s national window, unless that network waives its exclusivity. This is to encourage people to watch the ESPN or Fox game. A further enticement comes simply through the fact that Fox offers mostly regional coverage. Currently, local broadcasts are allowed on Saturdays if the game starts at 1 p.m. ET, but at no other time. If a game starts at 6 p.m. ET (both the teams in the state of Florida, the Florida Marlins and the Tampa Bay Rays, have done this occasionally), the local broadcaster must either join the game in progress or air it on tape delay at 7 p.m. ET, the end of the exclusive Fox window. Also, none of the local 1 p.m. telecasts can be rebroadcast outside the market of the participating teams, specifically on MLB Extra Innings, except that Chicago Cubs and White Sox games can be shown on the superstation WGN America.
Usually there are no other games scheduled at these times, except when a team decides not to change the start-time even after Fox drops the game in favor of a better match-up, which they can and often will do on a few weeks notice, particularly after the All-Star Game. ESPN’s post-All-Star Game schedule is likewise picked as little as two weeks ahead of time (schedules for the first half of the season are usually set during the winter). Other teams simply schedule games for other time-slots, particularly on Saturday nights or on Sunday afternoons. Also, the Texas Rangers often play summertime home games at night on Sundays because of the extreme heat common to Texas during much of the season, and normally receive special permission from ESPN to televise these games locally (their opponent’s TV partner can also show the game). The Toronto Blue Jays sometimes have home games that conflict with Fox’s Saturday afternoon telecasts, as Canada is not subject to Fox’s exclusivity. Unlike ESPN, Fox does not normally permit the visiting U.S.-based team to televise the game live in its regional market.
Fox is allowed to show each team up to nine times during the regular season.

Formula One: How to Watch 2011 F1 Season on Cell Phone by Mobile TV Pro
Mobile Phone TV: Formula One: How to Watch 2011 F1 Season on Cell Phone by Mobile TV Pro
The 2011 Formula One season will be the 62nd FIA Formula One season. The calendar will expand to twenty rounds – the longest season in the sport’s sixty-year history – with the inaugural running of the Indian Grand Prix. Pirelli returns to the sport as tyre supplier for all teams, taking over from Bridgestone. Red Bull Racing enter 2011 as the reigning Constructor’s Champions. Sebastian Vettel will be the defending Driver’s Champion.
Formula One, also known as Formula 1 or F1 and referred to officially as the FIA Formula One World Championship, is the most restrictive class of single seater auto racing sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The “formula” in the name refers to a set of rules with which all participants’ cars must comply. The F1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix (translated to English as “Big Prizes”), held on purpose-built circuits and public roads. The results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for the drivers and one for the constructors, with racing drivers, constructor teams, track officials, organizers, and circuits required to be holders of valid Super Licences, the most restrictive class of racing licence issued by the FIA.
Formula One cars race at high speeds (up to 360 km/h (220 mph)) with engines the performance of which is limited to a maximum of 18,000 revolutions per minute (rpms). The cars are capable of lateral acceleration in excess of 5 g in corners. The performance of the cars is very dependent on electronics – although traction control and other driving aids have been banned since 2008 – and on aerodynamics, suspension and tyres. The formula has had much evolution and change through the history of the sport. Europe, where all the Formula One racing teams are based, is the sport’s traditional basis and where about half of each year’s races occur. However, the sport’s scope has expanded significantly during recent years and an increasing number of Grands Prix are held on other continents.
Formula One had a total global television audience of 527 million people during the course of the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship. The Formula One Group is the legal holder of the commercial rights. With annual spending totalling billions of US dollars, Formula One’s economic effect is significant, and its financial and political battles are widely reported. Its high profile and popularity make it an obvious merchandising environment, which results in great investments from sponsors and extremely great budgets for the constructors. However, mostly since 2000, due to the always increasing expenditures, several teams, including works teams from car makers and those teams with minimal support from the automotive industry, have become bankrupt or been bought out by companies wanting to establish a team within the sport; these buyouts are also influenced by Formula One limiting the number of participant teams.

Sebastian Vettel experienced an explosive puncture on the final day, though an investigation by Pirelli attributed the incident to debris on the circuit.
The number of Grands Prix held in a season has varied over the years. Only seven races comprised the inaugural 1950 world championship season; over the years the calendar has almost tripled in size. Though the number of races had stayed at sixteen or seventeen since the 1980s, it peaked at nineteen in both 2005 & 2010, though the 2011 season is expected to have 20 races.
Six of the original seven races took place in Europe; the only non-European race that counted towards the World Championship in 1950 was the Indianapolis 500, which, due to lack of participation by F1 teams, since it required cars with different specifications from the other races, was later replaced by the United States Grand Prix. The F1 championship gradually expanded to other non-European countries as well. Argentina hosted the first South American grand prix in 1953, and Morocco hosted the first African World Championship race in 1958. Asia (Japan in 1976) and Oceania (Australia in 1985) followed. The nineteen races are spread over the continents of Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America and South America.

Mobile Phone TV: Watch 2011 NFL Super Bowl XLV on Mobile Cell Phone by Mobile TV Pro
Super Bowl XLV will be the 45th annual edition of the Super Bowl in American football, and the 41st annual championship game of the modern-era National Football League (NFL). The game, to be played on February 6, 2011, will pit the AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers against the NFC champion Green Bay Packers to decide the NFL champion for the 2010 season. The game will be held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the first time that the Super Bowl will be held in the Dallas–Fort Worth area; and the third time it will be held in Texas (Houston was the host city to Super Bowls VIII and XXXVIII). Kickoff time is approximately 5:25pm CST (UTC-06). This will be the eighth appearance in the Super Bowl for the Steelers (who hold the record with six Super Bowl wins) and the fifth for the Packers (who hold the record with 12 overall NFL titles, including three Super Bowl wins and nine league titles prior to the Super Bowl-era).
As of January 28, The Packers are two to three point favorites, making this the first Super Bowl in which the Steelers were underdogs since Super Bowl XXX. In all four previous Super Bowls that Green Bay played in, they were favored to win.
The Steelers and Packers did not play each other this season. The last time the two teams met was December 20, 2009, when the Steelers defeated the Packers 37–36 at Heinz Field. That game was marked by four lead changes in the fourth quarter and a game-winning touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger to Mike Wallace as time expired.

The Packers and Steelers have many ties between each other. Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers served in the same capacity in Pittsburgh from 1992-1994. Two former Steelers players who played under Capers in Pittsburgh are currently Packers assistants. Packers outside linebackers coach Kevin Greene played in Pittsburgh from 1993-1995, earning his only Super Bowl appearance as a player in the Steelers loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XXX. Darren Perry, the defensive backs coach, played in Pittsburgh from 1992-1998 and also played in Super Bowl XXX, earning a Super Bowl ring as the Steelers defensive backs coach in Super Bowl XL.
Among active players, Steelers punter Jeremy Kapinos, signed midseason to replace an injured Daniel Sepulveda, played for the Packers from 2008-2009, while Packers fullback John Kuhn played for the Steelers from 2005-2006. Kuhn earned a Super Bowl ring with the Steelers in Super Bowl XL by virtue of being part of the team’s practice squad, and also attended Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, located 171 miles east of Pittsburgh down the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is a Pittsburgh native, and coached at the University of Pittsburgh from 1989-1992.
Both teams also hold longevity records: the Steelers, founded in 1933, are the oldest franchise in the AFC (all other teams in the conference were acquired via the AFL–NFL merger and by expansion), while the Packers have spent more years in the same city than any other team in NFL history (having played in Green Bay since its founding in 1919, prior to the league’s founding).
Both teams are known to have sizable fanbases that often travel to away games, largely due to the home games themselves having decades-long waiting lists. In August 2008, ESPN.com ranked the two teams tied as having the best fans in the NFL. ESPN’s own John Clayton, a Pittsburgh native, broke the tie in favor of the Steelers.
As the Packers are the designated “home” team in the annual rotation between AFC and NFC teams, the team elected to wear their green jerseys. Although both teams are known to wear their colored jerseys at home and have rarely worn white at home (the Packers briefly wore white at home in 1989), the Packers decision starkly contrasts with the Steelers decision as the “home” team in Super Bowl XL to wear white jerseys. Both the 2005 Steelers and 2010 Packers were #6 seeded teams when they reached the Super Bowl, forcing them to play all of their postseason games on the road and wearing their respective white jerseys in those games.
